NEW DISPUTE RESOLUTION METHOD - SECURE ON LINE DISPUTE RESOLUTION (ODR)

We are able to conduct dispute resolution on line through a web based conferencing system.  You don't have to download any programmes to your computer all you need is a webcam and microphone/speakers and access to the internet via broadband.  The mediator then invites the participants via email and by just clicking a link the mediation is on line.

The conversation is secure and flexible, allowing mediations to be conducted in remote areas where both parties are in different geographical locations.  We can have a number a connected participants.

Online Dispute Resolution is not new and has been successfully used around the world for all sorts of disputes.  ODR is likely to be of benefit in circumstances where distance prevents a face to face mediation or where there are safety and/or family violence concerns.

I have conducted mediations via Skype using both voice and also video where it has been the only feasible way of assisting parties to reach an agreement.  I can connect several parties at once to take part in mediation.  I have previously conducted mediations where the participants (four - the participants and their solicitors) were in different locations within Australia.
