We are able to conduct family dispute resolution on line through a web based conferencing system and also by telephone (although we utilise Skype for telephone conference calls).

You don't have to download any programmes to your computer.  All you need is a webcam and microphone/speakers and access to the internet via broadband. The mediator then invites the participants via email and by just clicking a link the mediation is online.

Distance Dispute Resolution is not new and has been successfully used around the world for all manner of disputes. Distance and ODR (Online Dispute Resolution) is likely to be of benefit in circumstances where distance prevents a face to face mediation or where there are safety and/or family violence concerns which prevent the parties from meeting personally or even being in the same building.  These concerns are sometimes present in family dispute resolution.
